What a beginning to this year this has been. The SA Hip Hop genre has been one that has been constantly oozing with upcoming rappers attempting to claim a stake within the industry.

I was always aware of MVLICKE, especially with his banger of a single that dropped last year, titled “WOAH FREEZE”. However, Esco and Trxp were brand new artists to me, and the sounds they had developed impressed me and this was all evident on their newest single, called “AMANGA”.

I loved Trxp’s introduction to the track, quickly enchanting listeners with his wordplay and flow before his standout moment when he continuously spat his bars with ease over the sinister beat.

And Esco’s performance for the hook of the joint made the entire track even harder, riding over the beat with his amusing yet catchy lyrics and adlibs.

MVLICKE of course did his thing on his verse, brilliantly breaking down the track with his gift of blending his singing talents with his lyrical abilities, showcasing how versatile of a rapper he is.

Everything about this Trap banger was sensational to listen to, instantly kicking off with the menacing beat with an eerie siren sounding instrumentals constantly ringing off in the background. This beat elevated the toughness of the track as the trio easily glided over the beat.

The upcoming talents from Jozi have what it takes to carry the Hip Hop genre to an even higher level, and its music of this level that constantly gives me that hope.
