The wait finally ended, with Cardo Gobain finally dropping his newest body of work, titled “Wait No Longer”, revealing what may be the next prospect to come out of Pretoria.

This project was far from the generic Hip-Hop tunes we find so commonly throughout the music world, with Cardo actually pouring his heart and soul into this EP, disclosing the many struggles he’s had to endure with the listener.

This was clear from the start, with the intro, titled “10am on Atterbury”, making his intentions quite clear about what we’re about to experience. Literally, the first bar of the project has Cardo spit “dealing with the problems and the pressures I gotta face” over a sombre piano instrumental.

Other tracks like “Gardener”, “Patience”, and “Wait No Longer”, which served as the outro, were all brilliantly crafted songs on the project, further proving how talented the Pretorian lyricist is when it comes to his pen-game.

The production quality was also impressive, with Cardo hopping on some well-crafted beats that used fascinating instrumentals over energetic kicks and 808s.

With a run-time of only 21 minutes, this was a superb effort from the Pretoria rapper, and we look forward to seeing him expand his discography in the near future.
