It’s about damn time we spoke about Faker Streets. The duo from the Mother City had been cooking for the whole of 2024, dropping bangers like “Start Over” alongside Zubin and “Better Alone” that really captured my heart.

To my surprise, the two wasted no time releasing their first track of the year, gifting listeners a brilliant listening experience with their newest single, titled “Find You”.

Everything about this single was superb. The second the track kicked off, I knew I was in for a good one. This song is loud. But the good kind of loud.

The drums raging in the background (provided by David Jones) were all I needed to hear, aided by Liam’s hypnotizing vocal performance which was absolutely stunning to listen to. And the background instrumentals and synths were incredible to listen to, having interesting sounds bounce all around my ears.

And the chorus was possibly my favourite part of the track. It’s one of those choruses any listener would struggle to get out of their heads, as Liam passionately sings one of the catchiest melodies I’ve heard in a long time.

The tag team duo has crafted a sound that I haven’t been too familiar with. But damn I love it. Their discography brings a sense of excitement out of me and its music of this sort that really opens up my eyes to what the city of Cape Town is able to produce.
