This was possibly our most anticipated album release for the month of July, and Nanette did not disappoint with her latest body of work, titled “The Waiting Room”.

The seven-track album had the Durban songbird take us on an intimate journey, speaking on her ups and downs in her confusing world of romance, a topic many of us could easily relate to.

Tracks like “Stake" really encapsulated the whole spirit of the project, with other standout songs like “Talk 2 Me” and “Move With Me” all being impressive ballads for us to indulge in.

The cameo appearances from well-known talents like Blxckie, Nasty C, and Tellaman all put in a great shift, showcasing how easy it was for them to pair their styles with those of Nanette’s.

We also enjoyed the talented singers’ versatile abilities, having her hop on some enjoyable Amapiano joints like “Call You” (alongside Major League Djz, LuuDaDeeJay, and Zwaytoven) and “Kuyoze” (feauturing Nvcho, Baby S.O.N, Zwaytoven, and Stacy).

It’s not her first time exploring the Amapiano genre, with her already featuring on “Amakuleni” by Kelvin Momo, back in 2022, on the tracks “Imfula” and “Fool Me”. However, it’s still neat to see her delve more into this popular genre.

Overall, this was a great project to listen to for any R&B/Amapiano lover and we were more than satisfied with her latest efforts.
