By the time this new single, by Sa’int Lucid, concluded, we couldn’t help but wonder how much of a hold this woman had on him because our boy was speaking recklessly.

The gifted Capetonian vocalist told a story of confessing his urges towards a girl presumably in a relationship with another man. He claims that he’s nothing like him and that he’s just trying to prove how he’s the one she should choose to be with, promising how much better he’d treat her than her other guy.

He goes further, stating how he’s done entertaining the other women in his life, even admitting how he was stalking her the whole time (it’s why her messages would always blue tick on his phone). This was a super descriptive song with the chorus mentioning him wanting to do all kinds of things to her in the other man’s bed, and as gents, we couldn’t believe what we heard, but we truly loved it even more.

Lucid’s performance on the track was also impressive, with his angelic vocals floating above the soft guitar instrumentals while the beat slowly took us away to another place.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard local RnB songs that took it back to the classical days, utilizing illustrative lyrics that painted a vivid image in our minds. It’s possibly why we were so attracted to the song in the first place.
