The well-adored lyricist, ZuluMecca, released her long-awaited EP “SEAMS.”, gifting traditional Hip-Hop fans a body of brilliant music to indulge.

Zulu utilized this project as a way of narrating the struggles she has had to face in her life, speaking on topics like heartbreak, her struggles within her career as a musician, and her battles trying to grow and make herself a better person.

The tone of the project shuffled between boom-bap beats on tracks like “Iller Than”, to soft R&B on “End Of The World” alongside Lordkez and Mars Baby, and even funky house with the track “Right Back” featuring Hannah Ray”.

We loved that Mecca decided to switch up her beats, offering us a sound we weren’t usually accustomed to when it came to her catalogue.

Overall, this was a blast of a project to experience, with the only downside being the run-time going for a brief 16 minutes, having us wish there was more to enjoy.
