heyitskhanyi Brings The Fury With “playboy bunny”

The Pop-Punk genre is a sound I’ve always had a soft spot for. There’s just something about the electric guitars roaring in the background being guided by an enticing vocalist that’s always had me feeling captivated.

It’s why I was so pleased to hear the newest track from heyitskhanyi, titled “playboy bunny”, that reminded me of why I fell in love with the genre in the first place.

The track immediately kicked off with intense guitars raging over a funky Pop-Rock instrumental, swiftly building the perfect environment for Khanyi to dominate the song.

This single told a relatable tale of never learning from our past mistakes, having Khanyi narrate her experiences of stupidly repeating the same decisions that she’d eventually regret. Unfortunately, I’m sure many of us have had this same exact experience.

Her performance was a thrill to listen to, having the songbird easily flow over the exhilarating instrumental with her raucous voice gliding over the thunderous sounds.

I can’t lie. I’m new to heyitshanyi’s discography. However, I look forward to what more she has to offer towards the music world. It’s sounds like this that really makes me appreciate how diverse and unique the creative landscape in Cape Town really is, and I’m fortunate enough to experience this firsthand.
