Makwil proves his worth with “ZOMBIEZ.”

Makwil is a name you should keep an eye out for, especially after the recent release of his “ZOMBIEZ.” EP, instantly blowing our minds away with his ingenious flair.

With only three tracks on the short project, it was all we needed to understand how versatile of an artist he is, flaunting his musical attributes over different styles of beats.

The first track, “BITCH I’M JOHN LENNON.”, had the Capetonian prospect unleash his lyrical abilities over a menacing trap beat that infused heavy kicks over an eerie instrumental.

However, the second track, titled “ZOMBIE.” slowed everything down, having the talent sing a song about heartbreak over a soft R&B beat, further displaying how his sound is so fluid when it comes to different music styles.

The final track, titled “SORRY.”, was an interesting finale, having the virtuoso blend both styles and sounds of the first two tracks together, having a mellow R&B beat while he both sang and spat his lyrics over the meandering instrumentals.

This project showed us that the upcoming star is more than ready to take on the music world, whatever sound gets thrown at him, and we look forward to hearing more tunes from him.
