How TAYKATRIP elevated the new Soul Wave with “Far From Here”

Gifted Johannesburg vocalist, TAYKATRIP, lived up to his name, guiding listeners on a soul-awakening journey of discovery with the release of his album “Far from Here”.

Blending smooth soul elements with soft tones of jazz and more, the whole aura of this project was heavenly to listen to, having beautiful vocal performances from the singer over some of the most mesmerizing instrumentals.

The album spoke on topics like love (and the struggles that come with that), self-reflection, and ways of moving forward. These are all topics we find ourselves facing in our everyday lives.

Listeners were even graced with brilliant cameo appearances from two talented singers, Phiwo and Monelle, who’ve also been making major waves in their respective paths.

The standout tracks were “Take My Hand” with its trippy instrumentals, creating a jovial vibe. “Talk Too Much” was also a bliss to listen to, having the singer tell an engaging story, while “Fire” was a phenomenal track to close off with.

We loved everything about this album, with the talented singer being able to elevate the Soul/R&B genre to a new modern level.

The album is available on streaming platforms so check it out and see for yourself.
