How T!MBO’s “Only One” Brought Out His Funky Persona

To think that I only came across this maestro of a musician’s music last year amazes me. T!MBO continues to impress me with his ability to transport me into a whole new world with just his sound.

The gifted vocalist/lyricist released his newest single, titled “Only One”, using the track to dominate a bubbly instrumental that had elements of the Funk and Alt-Pop genre, riding the beat with his smooth melodic vocals.

Everything about this masterpiece was an absolute blessing to listen to. I can’t lie, I was having a rough Friday, especially having to deal with the scorching Cape Town sun constantly showering me with unbearable heat that I couldn’t handle.

However, as I started listening to this track, there was just something about the instrumental that made me stop and actually appreciate the weather I had recently despised. The upbeat Funky elements had me immediately bumping my head up and down along with the beat to the point where I couldn’t even hate the moment I was in.

That’s the impressive power of this song, and T!MBO’s performance on the track did a fantastic job of putting the listener at ease with his mellow approach to the track while flaunting his abilities as both a singer and rapper.

What an amazing effort from the gifted Capetonian-based musician. It’s even crazier to realize that this track has been in T!MBO’s vault since 2022. Makes me wonder what else he has in store for his many eager fans around the country.
