Joshua Morris Explores A Wonderful Sound With “Something On My Mind”

Joshua Morris has done it yet again. The Capetonian gem released his latest wonder of a single, exploring a range of bubbly instrumentals while delivering his smooth vocal performance.
After impressing with his 2024 release, “Make You Mine”, he followed up with his new 2025 single, titled “Something On My Mind”, reminding me why I fell in love with his sound in the first place.

What I adore the most about Joshua’s unique sound is his clear obsession with experimenting with interesting sounds, blending all kinds of synth noises with classic Pop elements, always creating a vibrant atmosphere.
With an upbeat tempo, Joshua flawlessly flowed over the instrumental, while unveiling his truest thoughts of his everyday love experiences. There’s just something about his soft vocal performances that merge perfectly with the intoxicating instrumentals that always captures my heart.
I’m still trying to figure out what sound I would label this, and I’m sure we will find out soon enough. Whatever it is, I’m not too fussed about it. All I know is that it’s a sound I’m clearly in love with, and I hope listeners feel the same way.
